FURTHER DETAIL ON THE STEPS WE HAVE TAKEN
We remain open.
In light of the ongoing COVID-19 developments, we will continue to evaluate our policies and procedures and will adjust as needed in order to ensure the safety of all those who do business with us. As such we have implemented preventative measures around social distancing and are following all government guidelines
Remote working
We, LM Insolvency and Advisory Limited are working from home. Remote working was already carried out prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, and as such has no impact on our ability to work from home, as our systems and technology are already established. We do not anticipate any impact on service, in this regard, and it will be business as usual (well almost!).
Mobile numbers for the team are already listed on our website and made available, to ensure contact is maintained.
The only exception will be the time taken to respond to physical mail in the post, as we are not attending the office daily, post will be forwarded to staff members, so please allow a few extra days for a reply.
Other third parties
On an insolvency we communicate with many third parties, intermediaries, government bodies etc which may be affected by the COVID-19 outbreak which may have a knock effect. We will make you aware of any changes in circumstance at the time.
Meetings
To safeguard our staff and you, we ask that all non-essential meetings take place over the phone or video conferencing.
Other measures
In addition, we have the following guidelines in place to mitigate the risk of spread:
Free Consultations
At the moment we have suspended all free face to face consultations, these however can still be booked, but will be carried out online as a virtual meeting or by phone, and we are happy to use a variety of apps and systems to do so (please just bear with us if it is one we have not used before).
Virtual Coffee
We realise the impact that COVID-19 may have on your willingness to meet in person at offices, or cafes etc, and indeed are now not possible, but at the same time would welcome a chat about matters concerning you. We want to do our part to assist you as much as possible in these difficult times and to keep lives as normal as possible, whilst having health and safety at the front of our minds. With this in mind, we are offering a Virtual Coffee…Put the kettle on, and give us a call for an informal 15 minute chat, or book a more in depth discussion over the phone to address the financial concerns on your mind.
Online Liquidation
We have taken the virtual coffee one step further, whilst liquidation will not be needed for many, for some it will be the right option (whether as a result of COVID-19 or prior issues in the business). Here we can (depending on the circumstances) offer an online liquidation, with much of the paperwork, and meetings being carried out virtually, over the phone, by video conferencing and email, enabling social distancing. We are also extremely adaptable in our approach in respect of dealing with company assets, company records etc on a liquidation. We are happy to discuss the options available in your circumstances should you be considering a liquidation.
Please get in touch if you need to discuss the impact of COVID-19, your financial position, or fiduciary duties in this uncertain time.
Thank you and take care.

In addition, we have the following guidelines in place to mitigate the risk of spread:
- We have cancelled or postponed all events, networking and training in the short term that are not held remotely.
- Follow good personal hygiene practices including frequent hand washing, and no handshakes
- Any member displaying the symptoms of a persistent cough or fever will be required to self-isolate for 14 days. We also ask our clients, suppliers and others we work with to do the same and contact us to make alternative arrangements in such cases. (We are however currently following government guidance to stay at home)
